I just read Lucille Youngers "A Tear in the Universe" and it totally overwelmed me. I am a product of The Sisters Of Charity BVM, speding 5 years of my life with them at St. Rose's Orphanage in Milwaukee, Wis. 1952 thru 1957. Arrived with my three olders sisters and left at the age of seven in 1957. Tomorrow I am, with my sister Bev, driving to Dubuque to say Thank You and just as "A Tear in the Universe" states that light is still in my window and I am "A Tear in the Universe"! It was powerful reading for me because as I read that was and is "just the way it was" and is and forever shall be. To a wonderful group of Women, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You, you've give me much, more than any of you shall ever know.

Hello. I am a second year MSW student at the University of Albany. One of my classes is online. I posted Lucille Younger's poem November 22, 1963 on our Bulletin Board on my online class this morning. I wanted my classmates [most of whom were born after the assassination] to read it. I do remember Friday, November 22, 1963 very well. I was a 16 year old high school student who had skipped school that September to travel out of town to see President Kennedy deliver a speech in person! Thank you for the poem. It was a dignified way to remember the day. Well done! Ruth A. Mitchell

"Hi" my name is mikal, i love your poems, there so nice maybe if you get the chance you can write some Christmas poems for me and e-mail them to me.
I just had to stop back and say thanks for the wonderful Christmas poems by Alan Harris! I'd planned to read just one, but couldn't stop. Each is written with much insight and honesty, and sprinkled with smiles. I simply cannot choose a favorite! Ho-Ho-Humbug!
While reading and re-reading (slowly) the work of Charles Morgan, one is inspired, and carried back and forth through a mixture of ideas and emotions thought long-forgotten. Thanks for this much-needed sanctuary of reflection.
How can I put one of my poems in here?
While haphazardly searching for the significance of my surname, I happened to fall upon your work... its nice to see that someone with our name, regardless of relation, has been inspired to do great work with words. Thanks :)

You have the same name as me but a different middle name and you are the same age as me!!!!!!!
Excellent poem I was only wondering where the title (What, Ms. Wynkoop?) came from.
